The ultimate Crap Hair Club bundle - use Wave and Play together to encourage and embrace your natural hair.

Wave - Soft Weightless Curl Cream

Wave is nourishing and gentle, she will encourage your hair to be true to its form. She’s not here to create a rigid cast but I don’t think you ever needed that in the first place. Be free and silly.

Wave fragrance notes: A woody fragrance opening with spicy top notes of cardamon and black pepper leading to a rich woody middle accord of agar wood, sandalwood, cedarwood, leather, patchouli and vetivert, resting on a base of amber, vanilla, tonka bean.

Play - Soft Clay Paste

Play is for added extra umf. Great for finessing and finishing. She is soft like butter, but not greasy. She’s stronger than Wave for when you need holding (don’t we all sometimes).

Play fragrance notes: A sophisticated woody fragrance where fresh mandarin, neroli and cardamon are warmed by nutmeg and saffron leading to notes of pistachio enwrapped with rose, jasmine and orange blossom enriched with amber, sandalwood, and vanilla.

Wave FAQs

Find the most frequently asked questions about Wave below.
  • No

  • Cetearyl alcohol is different from the harsher ones like isopropyl alcohol, ethanol or SD alcohol found in some products.

It is a “fatty alcohol”  derived from fats and oils and won’t dry out your hair! It actually helps to lock in moisture.

  • There’s no reason why you couldn’t use Wave as a blow-dry cream on straight hair :) it will add shine, moisture and a really good smell.

  • Yes ! It is SLS and paraben free !

  • Think of wave as more of a treatment for your hair that will - in turn will hold down fly frizz and flyaways by adding lots of moisture. Rather than hold first, like a gel - which often includes drying alcohols so it can form a “cast”.

  • Absolutely not. Wave is aimed to keep your hair looking like HAIR, I like it when hair moves like hair. It will be a different effect to a tacky curl creme or a gel but your hair will thank you for it. You won’t feel like your hair is full of product and you can even water down Wave in a spray bottle with warm water (shaken!) to refresh your hair in the morning, and still not weigh it down !

  • Yes !

    • Marula oil is a beautifully lightweight oil that won’t leave a stickiness, It’s packed with antioxidants and vitamin E (and C!) - these will also help protect your hair against environmental damage like pollution and UV .
    • Baobab oil can help to repair the hair shaft by reinforcing the proteins - therefore improving the hairs quality and shine. Of course it’s also full of lovely antioxidants and also Omega-3 !
    • Prickly pear seed oil, Is of course as you guessed - full of antioxidants, this one helps retain the hairs moisture and can improve scalp health. It’s rich in fatty acids which are deeply hydrating.
    • The oil that comes from the seeds of a Kalahari Melon is super lightweight and non greasy - making it perfect for finer hair, it is also easily absorbed and great at locking in moisture as its full of Omega-9 and Omega-6 fatty acids. Regular use of this oil will help your over all hair strength - it even has natural heat protecting properties!
    • Shea butter can occasionally get a bad rep I know but it’s used carefully in Wave, being balanced out with all the lighter oils. So I promise it won’t take over ! It simply adds hold by being very moisturising and repairing.
  • Yes !

Play FAQs

Find the most frequently asked questions about Play below.
  • Nope! Play has more of an earthy, spicy citrus scent thanks to oils like nutmeg, neroli, turmeric, and bergamot. It’s warm, clean smelling !

  • Play has a lot more hold than Wave ! But it still has a touchable finish where the hair can still move. You’ll be surprised at how buttery the consistency is but how matt it goes once it’s in your hair. (Please note if you put too much in whilst it’s wet especially on straight hair! Then it may feel too heavy so use small amounts ! )

  • Play is a flexible styling paste that’s great for creating shape, separation, texture, and soft hold. It’s not crunchy, sticky, or stiff—it’s great for sculpting curls, controlling fluffy ends, or adding structure to shorter styles. It can even be used to smooth ponytails or scrunch into air-dried hair for definition.

  • Yes! Play works on all hair types. Use it to define waves, smooth frizz, create piecey texture on short hair, or add grip and structure when styling.

    • Lanolin helps with texture and moisture—it gives Play that creamy hold and adds softness without heaviness.
    • Beeswax helps create shape and hold while sealing in moisture.
    • Soybean oil is packed with nutrients and fatty acids to help condition hair and reduce breakage.
    • Nutmeg, turmeric, bergamot & neroli oils not only smell beautiful, but also bring antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits to the scalp and hair.
    • Ozokerite wax helps give the paste a thicker, shapeable consistency that’s great for styling and control.
  • Yes! Play is free from SLS, parabens, and all the usual nasties.

  • Nope. A little goes a long way—start small and work through dry or damp hair. If you use the right amount, it won’t flake or feel sticky.

  • No - Play contains lanolin (from sheep’s wool) and beeswax, so it’s not vegan. Both are used because they help give the product its soft, flexible hold and lock in moisture without heaviness. They’re natural byproducts (not harmful to animals), but I understand they may not be for everyone.

Best product ever!

My hair was a disaster! Menopausal, frizzy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, hormone tablets disaster hair. I ordered the hair cream and the paste to see if it would help. To be honest, I’ve not used the paste because the cream has sorted my hair! My hair has always been quite fine with a bit of a wave in it. I had been buying expensive shampoos and conditioners to try and sort my frizzy hair, but nothing worked. I now use the hair cream after using an inexpensive (M&S) sulphate free shampoo and I am so happy with my hair again. I have a natural wave without the frizz, which doesn’t feel like it’s got product in it. Very pleased and will definitely buy the hair cream again. Thank you ☺️
